Ancienne résidence des tsars, plus grande et plus célèbre forteresse du pays, le Kremlin est un ensemble de palais et de cathédrales dont les plus anciens remontent au XVIe siècle.
Non loin se trouve l’impressionnante Cathédrale du Christ-Sauveur, détruite par Staline, transformée en piscine, puis reconstruite à l’identique et rouverte au culte dans les années 2000. (En option : visite guidée du Palais des Armures).
Après-midi libre à Moscou pour une découverte personnelle de la ville.

Departure by the fast train to Vladimir. You will be welcomed at the Vladimir station by your driver. Transfer to the excursion office. Meeting with your English-speaking guide.
Collective guided tour of Vladimir: St. Dimitri's Cathedral, the Cathedral of the Dormition. Free time for lunch. Vladimir and Suzdal are two must-see cities of the Golden Ring. They will plunge you into the heart of 12th century Russia thanks to their cathedrals and monasteries listed as UNESCO heritage sites. Vladimir was founded on the Kliazma in the 12th century, and was for a long time the rival of Kiev and then Moscow.
Transfer to Suzdal, free time for lunch and afternoon to discover the city (In option: Visit of Bogoliubovo and its cathedral).

Guided tour of Suzdal by foot (3h): The Kremlin, the wooden architecture museum, the monastery of Saviour St-Euthymius. The city of Suzdal is a museum in itself as it presents an intact image of the Russian history. It has many churches and other religious buildings and a lush green countryside in the summer.
Free lunch. Transfer to Plios (2,5h) and check in at the hostel.
Free time for discovery and visit of Plios, village of the Golden Ring and very popular holiday destination for many popular artists like Levitan and Repin.

Free time. Then transfer to Kostroma (1,5h) in the late morning. Meeting with your guide at the Ipatiev monastery, which you will visit. Panoramic tour of Kostroma. The city was not available for foreigners until 1991 and retained its 19th century style.
Free time for lunch. Departure to Yaroslavl (80km-ride).

Breakfast at the hotel then meeting with your guide at the reception desk of the hotel and departure for a city tour of Yaroslavl by transport and on foot: Visit the Monastery of St-Saviour and the Cathedral of the Transfiguration. Admire the white walls and the golden cupolas of the monastery of the Transfiguration of the Saviour, the splendid green bulbs of the St-Elias Church, the Volkov Theater, the first theater in Russia ... you will walk on the docks of the city listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Free time for lunch. Afternoon free for a personal discovery of the city (In option: visit the picturesque village of Vyatskoye, 1h drive away).

Departure to Rostov by transport (70km). Visit of the Rostov Kremlin with its silver and gilded cupolas dating from the end of the 17th century. One of the largest and richest cathedrals lies within the Rostov Kremlin. Free lunch.
Departure to Sergiev Posad. Visit of the Trinity Cathedral: listed in the UNESCO heritage, the Trinity cathedral is a must-see of the golden ring. The Cathedral of Dormition and its magnificent blue cupolas dotted with stars, a symbol of the monastery, which is one of the oldest and most beautiful in the orthodox world.
Transfer back to Moscow (90 minutes without trafic jams) and overnight stay at the hotel.
Free time and transfer to the airport. Return flight.
